Durham restaurant owner arrested on heroin charges after undercover sting
The owner of Tasty Haven Restaurant was arrested Tuesday for trafficking and dealing heroin, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — The owner of Tasty Haven Restaurant was arrested Tuesday for trafficking and dealing heroin, police said.
Shelby Andrew Wilson, 48, is charged with:
- Trafficking heroin, level 3 (28 grams of heroin and above – the highest level of heroin trafficking)
- Seven counts of trafficking heroin, level 1 (4 grams - 14 grams of heroin)
- Two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession of a stolen firearm
- Eight counts of maintaining a dwelling/business for the manufacture, sale or delivery of controlled substances
- Eight counts of possession of heroin with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver
- Six counts of sale of heroin
- Six counts of delivery of heroin
Investigators confiscated 117.8 grams of heroin and two firearms after what investigators described as a long-term undercover operation. One of the guns was reported stolen, police said.
Search warrants were executed at Wilson’s restaurant on East Trinity Avenue and at homes on Oxboro Circle and Birch Run Drive Tuesday.
Wilson was placed in the Durham County jail under a $5 million bond.
