— Durham police on Monday released a picture of a man they say robbed a Wal-Mart store earlier in July.

Police said that a man stole electronics from the Walmart store at 1010 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway around 9 p.m. on July 13. He threatened employees and claimed to have a weapon but did not show them a weapon.

Police described the man as black with a dark complexion, approximately 45 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a black Kangol-style hat, tan shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone who can identify the man is asked to contact Investigator D.M. Anthony at 919-560-4583, extension 29356 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that solve crimes.

Electronics are all the way in the back....how did he even get out of the store? Where was security? What about the cameras in the parking lot? No plate number? Geeze.

Times are tough, but jeez, stealing is wrong. Go to a construction site and ask if you can work for the day...

In situations like this, does nobody ever follow him out to the parking lot and get a read on his license plate?? Wal-mart is a big store for somebody to get away with only a physical description provided by a security camera.....

    > "He threatened employees and claimed to have a weapon"
when he did that he elevated his charges, and can be convicted as if he had a weapon. I learned that when I served as a juror once, we convicted the guy, and he got 15 years.
