Durham police seeking clues in woman's shooting death

A woman was found dead Wednesday night near the intersection of Holloway Street and Guthrie Avenue, Durham police said.

— A woman was shot and killed Wednesday night near the intersection of Holloway Street and North Guthrie Avenue, Durham police said. 

Officers responding to a shots fired call at about 9:15 p.m. found Kourtney Krista Dawson, 25, of Durham, face down on the sidewalk. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made.

Investigators are seeking the public's help to learn more about the incident.

    More killings in Durham and a daily headline with some days being multiple headlines. Your not even safe in the shadow of a church anymore. How can anybody say its safe in Durham anymore?

    I wonder what the circumstances were. Had she been in church and was leaving? Was she at a bus stop? Was she just loitering on the street when she was shot?
