Durham police seek woman wanted on fraud, theft charges

Durham police are trying to locate Robin Sigmon, also known as Robin Hopkins, who is wanted on fraud and theft charges.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are trying to locate Robin Sigmon, also known as Robin Hopkins, who is wanted on fraud and theft charges.

Sigmon, 47, of Cascade, Va., is charged with taking a wallet, credit cards and checks from an office in a business in the 1100 block of West Main Street during the afternoon of Aug. 14, according to police.

She is also charged with using the stolen credit cards to make purchases at two stores in Northgate Mall and using checks stolen from the victim to make purchases later that day in Hillsborough.

Sigmon is wanted on four counts of identity theft, four counts of obtaining property by false pretense and one count of misdemeanor larceny.
