DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are asking for the public's help in locating two vehicles seen in the area of a fatal shooting outside a convenience store late Wednesday evening.

Investigators said Friday that Lashaun Lamont Hunt, 18, of Lexington Street, was shot several times outside Town-N-Country, at 3101 University Drive, just before midnight.

Police are looking for a white or light-colored sport utility vehicle and a Nissan Altima of an unknown color. They provided no other details about the vehicles.

No charges have been filed in the case, and investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4400, extension 29322, or Durham Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
