DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police issued a warrant Sunday morning for a man suspected in a shooting in the 400 block of Newsome Street.

Police responding to a report of gun shots Saturday evening found a woman dead of multiple gunshot wounds. They asked the public for help in locating Joseph Demetrius Muller, the suspect in the case.

Anyone with information about Muller's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

Police warn that Muller is considered armed and dangerous. They said they do not believe the shooting was a random act, but did not elaborate on the relationship between the victim, whom they did not identify, and Muller.
