Police are asking for the public's help locating a puppy that was stolen in November from a vehicle in a Durham parking lot.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police are asking for the public's help locating a puppy that was stolen in November 30 from a vehicle in a Durham parking lot.

Officials said the dog was taken from the back seat of a pickup truck that was parked at the Sav-A-Lot located on North Alston Avenue. Authorities said the dog was taken from the truck while its owner was inside the store for about five minutes.

The puppy, named Scarlet, is white with gray spots. She was wearing a pink collar when she was stolen.
