Durham police seek armed robbery suspect

Durham police are asking for information about an armed robbery that happened at Lincoln Apartments on Lakeland Street on Friday.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are asking for information about an armed robbery that happened at Lincoln Apartments on Lakeland Street on Friday.

A masked man armed with a gun entered the apartment complex office around 4 p.m., jumped over a gate and pointed the gun at two women in the office, police said. The man demanded money and ordered the women to lie on the floor. The man took money from the office and one of the women.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 20s, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black ski mask, dark clothing and black Nike Air Force 1 shoes.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Durham police at 919-560-4415, extension 29303, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
