Durham police are trying to identify a man who stole copper from a building on University Drive in August.

Durham police are trying to identify a man who stole copper from a building on University Drive in August.

The theft occurred around 8:30 a.m. on August 23 in the 3500 block of University Drive. The copper was taken from the building’s air conditioning units.

The suspect was described as a black man wearing a blue shirt with short sleeves, a blue hat, tan shorts, black gloves and black sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 919-560-4583, extention 29356 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
