Durham police search for bank robber

Police said a black, middle-aged man with a salt-and-pepper beard and wearing a black-and-white plaid jacket and a gray hoodie robbed the SunTrust Bank on Corcoran Street Monday morning.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police looked Monday for a man who robbed the SunTrust Bank on Corcoran Street about 9:30 a.m..

Police described the suspect as black and middle-aged with a salt-and-pepper beard and wearing a black-and-white plaid jacket and a gray hoodie.

He entered the bank around 9:30 a.m., stood in line and then handed a teller a note demanding money, police said.

He did not use a weapon, and no one was injured. He got away with an undisclosed sum of money.
