Durham, N.C. — Durham police were investigating an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon at a UPS Store.
Officers said they responded to an emergency call shortly before 3 p.m. at the store at 811 Ninth St. Employees said a man dressed all in black and wearing a mask robbed the store at gunpoint.
No one was injured.
E.K. Powe Elementary School, which is nearby, was placed on lockdown after the robbery as a precaution.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
