Durham police probe Cornwallis Road shooting

— Durham police are investigating a shooting in the Cornwallis Road area.

At approximately 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, two people were shot at 125 East Cornwallis Road, police said. One victim was shot in the stomach. The second victim suffered gunshot wounds to the neck.

Paramedics transported the victims by ambulance to Duke University Hospital. The names and conditions of the men were not released.

Anyone with information on the incident was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
