A Durham police officer was injured Friday evening after being involved in a wreck.

DURHAM, N.C. —  A Durham police officer was injured Friday evening after being involved in a wreck.

It happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Stratford Lake Drive when a woman pulled out in front of the officer's car.

She was not hurt. The officer was treated for minor injuries, police said.

Charges are pending against the woman.

Neither the officer nor the driver's name was released.
