Durham police offer reward for tips in slaying

On April 29, officers responding to a traffic accident at the intersection of Old Oxford Highway and Danube Lane found Tony Bernard Williams, 25, of Duke Homestead Road, dead inside a wrecked, brown Honda Accord.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham Police are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in an April shooting on Danube Lane.

On April 29, officers responding to a traffic accident at the intersection of Old Oxford Highway and Danube Lane found Tony Bernard Williams, 25, of Duke Homestead Road, dead inside a wrecked, brown Honda Accord.

Witnesses told police that Williams had been sitting in his car, talking to people in a small silver or white car, when shots rang out and the smaller car sped off.

No charges have been filed and no motive has been established.
