Durham Police Investigate Stabbing Death

— Police are investigating a homicide that occurred late Saturday night near West Piedmont Avenue at Scout Drive in Durham.

Just after 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a “stabbing call" in the area. They found a man stabbed in the chest lying partially in the roadway near West Piedmont Avenue at Scout Drive. The victim, whose name is not being released at this time, was transported to Duke Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators do not have any motive or suspect descriptions at this time.
