Durham police investigate shooting behind HH Gregg store

— Durham police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon at 8210 Renaissance Parkway behind the HH Gregg merchandise store.

Officers responded to a call in reference to someone driving through the parking lot firing shots at about 3:28 p.m.

A man was found shot in the wooded area behind the store. The man, whose name was not released, was transported to Duke University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the man shot himself.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.

    how are there reports of a vehicle firing shots...someone is then found shot...and the conclusion is...he shot himself?
