Durham police investigate homicide

— Durham police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in the woods near Chandler and Ross roads in eastern Durham on Friday.

An officer searching the woods for a break-in suspect found the body of a woman around 12:25 p.m. The woman’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

The woman has not been identified, and investigators haven’t released a cause of death.

    You might think that Durham would have a ton of open homicide cases. But actually they close them out pretty fast. The reason... the people committing these crimes are too stupid to know how to cover their tracks. Downtown Durham is full of a lot of stupid criminals. If the Judges and parole boards keep putting them back on the street, makes you wonder who is REALLY stupid.

    That is pretty sad - the police are out looking for a criminal and stumble upon a murdered woman in the woods - that is a perfect example of too much crime.
