Durham police investigate bank robbery

— Durham police are investigating a bank robbery that was reported Monday morning at SunTrust Bank, 2714 Erwin Road.

A male entered the bank shortly before 9:30 a.m. and demanded money. A gun was seen but no one was injured.

The suspect was described as a black male approximately 40 years old with a medium build, a white bandage under his left eye and a mustache. He was wearing a gray jacket, khaki pants, white sneakers and a tan camouflage hat. He was last seen walking across Erwin Road toward Louise Circle.

    not to mention the employees as well that work at the hospital.

    Sadly these crimes go up more during the holiday season. Good thing college kids are on Christmas break right now as this is right on Duke campus area. A robber on the run with a gun and thousands of students wouldn't have been a good combination. Hope they catch the guy.
