— Durham police say black ice was to blame for an 11-vehicle crash that happened Wednesday morning in the 3700 block of South Miami Boulevard.

Two people were injured. Neither suffered life-threatening injuries, but one man asked to be taken to a local hospital to be checked out.

    I was in that area around midnight, everything was already frosted over. How can the local officials not get that water plus freezing temps will mean ice. They had 7 hours at lease to put down sand, salt, etc. The other problem is they don't control the builders/developers and road builders that cause the runoff into the road.
