Durham police arrest two on methamphetamine charges

Authorities arrested two people on methamphetamine charges at an apartment in Durham Thursday evening.

DURHAM, N.C. — Authorities arrested two people on methamphetamine charges at an apartment in Durham Thursday evening.

Waymond Scott Parrish, 43, and Carolyn Michelle Parten, 31, were taken into custody at their Durham home—401 Archdale Drive—after receiving complaints of possible drug activity.

Indications of methamphetamine was found inside and outside the apartment, according to authorities.

Parrish and Partern were both charged with maintaining a dwelling for manufacture, sale or delivery of a controlled substance, manufacturing methamphetamine, possessing lithium to manufacture methamphetamine and possessing pseudoephedrine to manufacture methamphetamine.

Both are being held at the Durham County Jail under bonds of $550,000.
