Durham museum to host Countdown to Kindergarten
Participants can tour the museum's exhibits and learn more about life as a kindergartner.
Posted — UpdatedThe Museum of Life and Science will host the annual Countdown to Kindergarten, designed for rising Durham Public Schools' kindergartners and their parents.
It's 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Aug. 4, at the Durham museum on West Murray Ave. The event is free.
Participants can tour the museum's exhibits and learn more about life as a kindergartner. They'll get to ride a school bus, learn about school lunches and meet UNC-TV characters, along with Ready Eddy, the transition to kindergarten mascot.
Parents can complete lunch and bus applications, learn more about before and after school programs and more.
Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh will host its event for rising kindergartners on Aug. 20.
