The Museum of Life and Science in Durham's Summer Science in the Lab continues through August with a host of fun, hands-on activities for kids.

The summer-long programs, which began in June, are offered 10:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12:30 p.m to 4:30 p.m., Sunday. The lab offers different experiments each day and new themes each week. This week's theme, for instance, is "cool chemistry." Visitors can learn a little about cookie chemistry on Thursday and watch some chemistry demos on Saturday.

Kids who complete five or more experiments get a prize. Be sure to pick up a stamp card in The Lab if you go.

The museum also hosts a science show at 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, in The Lab.

It's all free with admission the museum, which is $18 for adults and $13 for kids ages 3 to 12.

It runs through Aug. 21.
