Durham moves Latino Festival indoors

Rosalie Bocelli-Hernández Community Relations Coordinator at Durham Parks and recreation will give us information about an event that it has been in this city for 11 years.

— In anticipation of rainy weather and muddy conditions Saturday at Rock Quarry Park, the Durham Latino Festival will be held indoors, at the Holton Career and Resource Center, 401 N. Driver St.

The festival, which features live music, authentic foods, an arts and crafts marketplace and hands-on activities for children, runs from 12 to 5 p.m.

The soccer tournament has been rescheduled and will be held at Old Chapel Hill Road Park (3751 SW Durham Drive) next Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. For more information call 919-560-4355.
