Durham man wanted in shooting

A Durham man is wanted in connection with an April shooting that wounded a 22-year-old woman who was walking home from work.

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man is wanted in connection with an April shooting that wounded a 22-year-old woman who was walking home from work.

Investigators said Wednesday that Diego Marquez Perez, 30, of Carroll Street, fired gunshots in the 1600 block of Holloway Street around 12:20 a.m. April 14. The woman was shot in the leg. Other bullets struck a house, but no one inside was injured.

Perez is wanted on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count each of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.
