Durham man wanted in shooting

— A Durham man is wanted in connection with an April shooting that wounded a 22-year-old woman who was walking home from work.

Investigators said Wednesday that Diego Marquez Perez, 30, of Carroll Street, fired gunshots in the 1600 block of Holloway Street around 12:20 a.m. April 14. The woman was shot in the leg. Other bullets struck a house, but no one inside was injured.

Perez is wanted on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count each of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.

Anyone with information on Perez’s whereabouts is asked to call police investigators at 919-560-4281, extension 29123 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.

    That's a mug shot picture. Obviously, this guy is a repeat offender. Too many repeat offenders roaming the Durham streets.
