Durham, N.C. — Durham police charged Derrick Reed Beulah, 37, of Hamlin Street, Saturday with robbery with a dangerous weapon. They think he is the man who robbed the Wachovia Bank, at 300 Foushee St. on Wednesday morning.
A man wearing a long wig and makeup entered the bank, handed a teller a note which said he had a gun and demanded money in large bills, police said. The robber never showed a weapon. He was seen leaving the bank on a red or pink bicycle.
Anyone with information on where Beulah might be is asked to call Durham police at 919-560-4281, ext. 29119 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
