Durham Man Surrenders on Office-Theft Charges

Durham Man Wanted on Theft and Fraud Charges
DURHAM, N.C. — Calvin Lewis Davis, 39, of Elizabeth Street in Durham, surrendered to city police Wednesday.

Davis is charged with taking items from unoccupied offices and reception areas in businesses in downtown Durham and Research Triangle Park during the past two months.

Davis is accused of taking wallets and credit cards from purses in office areas, then using the credit cards to purchase gas and other items. He is also charged with taking laptop computers from several offices.

Charges against Davis include several counts of felony larceny, misdemeanor larceny, financial card theft, obtaining property by false pretense and identity theft.
