Durham man sought in shooting, home invasion

Durham police are trying to locate the suspect in a May 3 shooting and home invasion on Sundial Circle.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are trying to locate the suspect in a May 3 shooting and home invasion on Sundial Circle.

Tyree Romiro Taylor, 27, of Sundial Circle, is wanted on two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of second-degree kidnapping, one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, one count of breaking and entering and one count of felony conspiracy, according to investigators. He is also wanted on several drug charges from an earlier incident.

Several people were standing outside a house on Sundial Circle around 10:25 a.m. on May 3 when two men armed with guns approached them and forced them inside a house, police said. One of the victims was shot in the hand and foot when he tried to escape. The gunmen took jewelry from the victims and fled.
