Durham police are investigating a double shooting that left a man dead Saturday night.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating a double shooting that left a man dead Saturday night.

Zacchaeus Kejuan Ormond, 26, of Durham was pronounced dead at Duke University Hospital, shortly after the shooting, which happened around 9:20 p.m. on Lawson Street, between Plum and Bacon streets.

A 30-year-old woman, also of Durham, was taken to the hospital, where she was treated for a gunshot wound to the hand.

Police have not yet charged anyone in the shootings and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators at 919-560-4440, extension 29322, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
