Durham police charged Javon Alexander Randolph, 18, of 1617-A Fayetteville St., with murder Wednesday in the shooting death of a man found in the street April 5.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Durham police charged Javon Alexander Randolph, 18, of 1617-A Fayetteville St., with murder Wednesday in the shooting death of a man found in the street April 5.<br />

Police arrested Randolph Wednesday morning. They said he shot Garba Gajam Mohammed, 41, of Raleigh. Mohammed died at Duke University Hospital after being found on the side of the road at 610 Troy St.<br />

Randolph was placed in Durham County Jail without bond.

Public documents show Blake Deven, 17, was reported missing in January 2024 even though police did not publicly announce his disappearance until late March 2024. The last police know of his whereabouts was 2022. London Deven was reported missing on April 4, 2024, years after she was last known to be living in Fayetteville.
