— Durham police arrested a 20-year-old man Monday and charged him with murder in the July 3 shooting death of an 18-year-old.

Lequan Kashawn Wilson, of Durham, is accused of killing Marquise Keshawn Mangum, also of Durham, in the 900 block of East Main Street shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Mangum was found lying in a breezeway of a multi-residential building. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

Police said the shooting does not appear to be a random incident. No other information was released.

Sounds like hunting mosquitoes with a shotgun. Why restrict honest citizen's freedom of movement because of a small number of criminals? I wonder if one would take a close look at the "shootings and killings" that are reported from Durham, how many of them are innocent.

Until the so called leaders of the City of Durham and the criminal justice system step up and back the actions of those trying to make a difference AND stop making excuses for the criminals this will not stop. Basically there is no "will of the people" of Durham to address these issues.

Durham needs to set a curfew. Too many shooting and killings. Above all too many innocent people being hurt or killed. Its way time somebody did something.
