"possessing cocaine after crash" how exactly does that work? wouldn't you have it before the crash if you were going to be charged?? - I represent this gentleman. He has been falsely accused. He was not DUI, a bug flew into his eye, causing him to react in a way that he ran into the pole. The cocaine fell from the pole into his vehicle. Geez you would think the police would know these things happen every day.

"Whites from affluent suburbs are permitted to drive while under the influence?"

"I suspect that this was your way of sliding in a racist comment without it being detected by WRAL"

And just what is that then?

68_polara, good advice, but that's on NCCU campus.

meh2, the only apt bldgs right there are dorms. (according to NCCU's site) And, I just "walked" around the campus a little with google's street view software...it looks pretty nice. :-)

Interesting response, seankelly - I did not mention anything about race, and yet you went off on a rant.

And the crux of your argument is - hey, look over there - someone else did something wrong. Nice, but irrelevant.

Keep rationalizing and justifying and excusing, but pay attention to the facts.

meh2 - So, what is your point? Whites from affluent suburbs are permitted to drive while under the influence? If you are under the influence of ANY drug (alcohol, illegal drugs, over the counter medications or prescription medications) then that may be the proximal cause of the wreck - not where they live. I suspect that this was your way of sliding in a racist comment without it being detected by WRAL. Not everyone on Section 8 is Black or Hispanic.

Sad, he could have killed some innocent person if NOT himself. Maybe someone will get him some help!!

hereandnow99, I suggest you don't drive through there at night for starters.

meh2, we already know that the poorer people are (at least here in the land-of-plenty), the more likely they will commit a crime. So, what do you suggest?...to people who may not even be able to read.

As Bill Cosby used to say...

I was just driving down the road and this tree jumped out and bit my car!

That is a section 8 apartment complex. The residents are responsible for a crime wave in that area.
