Durham man charged in shooting

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police have charged a man in a shooting that happened Thursday afternoon on Stadium Drive.

Officers responding around 1:30 p.m. to a report of someone with a gunshot wound found the male victim at 1906 Stadium Drive.

He was taken to a local hospital, where, police said, he was listed in critical condition Thursday evening.

Further details about the victim weren't provided.

Ashraf Mwafaq Mubaslat, 39, of 1906 Stadium Drive, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was jailed under a $500,000 bond.
