Durham man charged in August 2010 shootings

A 33-year-old man was arrested Monday night in connection with the August 2010 killing of a Georgia man in the parking lot of a Red Lobster restaurant, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A 33-year-old man was arrested Monday night in connection with the August 2010 slaying of a Georgia man in the parking lot of a Durham restaurant, police said.

Tyree Visharin Harris, of Wake Place, was charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. 

Police say Harris shot Larry Donnell Timberlake, 52, of East Point, Ga., several times in the parking lot of Red Lobster, at 4416 Chapel Hill Blvd., on Aug. 10, 2010. Moments after that shooting, police say, 30-year-old Robert Terry, of Durham, was found sitting inside a car in the parking lot of the AMF Durham Lanes bowling alley with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Both victims were taken to Duke University Hospital, where Timberlake died a short time later. Terry was treated and released.
