DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police arrested Ibrahim Faheem Waheed, 20, Thursday and charged him with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault by pointing a gun, breaking-and-entering a motor vehicle, larceny from a motor vehicle and credit-card fraud.

Investigators believe Waheed, of South Alston Street, committed two crimes. He is a suspect in a car break-in on Edinborough Drive Aug. 8. A stereo and wallet containing credit cards were stolen.

On Oct. 21, police say, Waheed was one of three men who invaded a home in the 2500 block of S. Roxboro Street and demanded money.

Waheed was placed in the Durham County jail under $200,000 bond.

Waheed was released from prison in March after serving nearly six months for felony breaking and entering and assault on a female, according to state Department of Correction records. He had also been sentenced for violating his probation for another breaking and entering felony and resisting an officer.
