Durham man arrested, charged in Chapel Hill shooting

A Durham man has been arrested and charged in connection to an April shooting at a Chapel Hill home that injured one person.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A Durham man has been arrested and charged in connection to an April shooting at a Chapel Hill home that injured one person.

Chapel Hill police charged Rahmil Dimitris Ingram, 23, with felony attempted first-degree murder, felony possession of a weapon by a felon and felony conspiracy to commit a felony.

Arrest warrants were also obtained for Keiland Jamal Harris, 25, of Chapel Hill. Harris is charged with felony attempted first-degree murder and felony conspiracy to commit a felony, according to the Chapel Hill Police Department. Harris is not in custody.

The shooting occurred on April 25 around 3:15 a.m. in the 100 block of Forsyth Drive, police said. A suspect fired multiple gunshots into an occupied residence and fled the area.

One person was struck by a bullet and was taken to the hospital to be treated.

The victim's identity was not released.
