Durham, N.C. — Police arrested a Durham man Tuesday and charged him with breaking into a storage building at Agape Corner School over the weekend and stealing tools.
Ricky Wayne Acrey, 52, of Gilbert Street, is charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen property and obtaining property by false pretense.
He was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Holloway and Raynor streets, police said.
Officers responded to a break-in call at the school, at 1217 Holloway St., about 8:30 a.m. Saturday and discovered that a storage shed had been broken into and $2,500 worth of tools used by students at the school had been stolen.
Officers have recovered one saw, but the other tools are still missing, police said.
