Durham man accused of murder surrenders to police

— A man wanted in a shooting death in the Parkwood community surrendered to Durham police Wednesday morning.

Christopher Herrera Posada, 20, is charged with murdering Jose Fernando Garcia, 47, who was found dead at a home at 1444 Sedwick Road around 7 p.m. Monday.

Posada is the son of Garcia's girlfriend and lived at the home.

    drove past this house this morning and saw about 7 cops standing out front. crazy. silly me thought the helicopter was for something far less serious.
