The Women's Business Center of North Carolina on Thursday hosted "Moving Forward with Purpose," an event for female entrepreneurs at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — The Women's Business Center of North Carolina on Thursday hosted "Moving Forward with Purpose," an event for female entrepreneurs at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in Durham.

The one-day event invited attendees to make new connections and grow their businesses through meaningful interaction.

Dr. Ann Black, president & CEO of immunoReagents, and Dr. Tashi Ann Dubroy, president of Shaw University, spoke on a panel and Violette de Ayala, founder & CEO of Femfessional Entrepreneur, delivered the keynote speech.

WRAL's Renee Chou served as emcee of the event.
