DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham venue is hoping to make food truck rodeos even more enjoyable by offering more seating, bathrooms and even beer and wine.
County Fare, at 1920 Chapel Hill Road, is hoping to open in mid-April. The sprawling venue will host mini-food truck rodeos featuring three to five trucks daily, owner Steve Frasher said.

"We are spoiled because we have such a great food truck scene," Frasher said, noting that the business is hoping to improve upon the traditional food truck rodeo design.

County Fare will have indoor seating for 100 people in climate controlled environment with TVs and more covered seating seating outside. There will also be a food truck paging system, similar to the buzzers offered to people waiting for tables at restaurants, so people won't need to stand around waiting for their orders.

"We are trying to eliminate some of the things that are challenges," Frasher said.

A small on-site kitchen will serve up state fair-inspired food, including sausage and peppers sandwiches, fried twinkies and funnel cakes. About 30 different wines, beer and ciders will be on tap as well.
