DURHAM, N.C. — Sheriff's deputies alerted area police to watch for two men who carjacked a couple at the intersection of Cambridge and Pickett roads Thursday evening.

At 8:30 p.m., a couple driving down Cambridge Road said they stopped at the intersection because a white car was blocking the roadway, deputies said. Two men with masks and rifles approached their vehicle and told them to get out.

The two suspects stole the vehicle – a brown 2007 Dodge Ram four-door truck with North Carolina tag WTK-2057.

Two other suspects were waiting in the white vehicle that had blocked the road. All suspects were wearing black.

The couple, whose names police withheld, were not hurt, deputies said.
