Durham deputies arrest gang member in break-ins

Durham County sheriff's deputies arrested a suspect in a series of recent breaking-and-entering offenses in southern Durham County, including a theft from the Morrisville Police Department.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Durham County sheriff's deputies arrested a suspect in a series of recent break-ins in southern Durham County, including a theft from the Morrisville Police Department.

Deputies and Morrisville police officers found stolen guns, electronics and other items inside a home at 7911 Farrington Mill Road in Chapel Hill. They arrested Martin Rosario-Pineda, 17. He is charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a weapon of mass destruction.

Deputies said Rosario-Pineda is a member of the Latin Kings gang. They are continuing to investigate and asked that anyone with information call the Durham County Sheriff's Office at 919-560-0880 or Lt. Stanley Harris 919-560-0881.
