Durham craft store plans art market where kids sell their creations

Posted November 19, 2013

Bull City Craft in Durham will host a Kids' Art Mart next month that will feature arts and crafts made by local kids.

The market is part of the shop's Shop Independent Durham Week events. Owner Jessica Greene tells me that she is seeking local creative kids who are interested in participating.

The Kids' Art Mart is 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 1, at Bull City Craft, 2501 University Dr. The event also will feature free face painting and refreshments.

If your child is interested in participating, parents can contact Greene by calling the store at 919-419-0800 or sending an email to info@bullcitycraft.com. There is no fee to participate. And, all month, the store will feature the kids' pieces in an exhibit in the store.

During Shop Independent Durham Week, which is Nov. 30 to Dec. 8, all Melissa & Doug items are 30 percent off and all drop-in crafts (where you can make your own gifts) are 20 percent off. The shop also will have a giveaway for the tenth customer each day.

Here's what else is coming up at the store:
