DURHAM, N.C. — Two Durham brothers wanted on charges of attempted murder were arrested in Ohio late this week, police said.

Kalid Gillard, 20, and Seaga Edward Gillard, 22, had been on the run since the Sept. 16 shooting.

Durham police said the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team arrested the Gillard brothers in Cincinnati. They were placed in the Hamilton County, Ohio, jail.

The brothers are accused of shooting a 34-year-old and a 25-year-old man inside an apartment in the 1300 block of Juniper Street. Police haven't disclosed a motive in the shootings, but said they were not random.

Kalid Gillard is serving two years' probation for a May 2010 conviction for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, according to state Department of Correction records.
