A Durham bank robbery Tuesday morning put Jordan High School on lockdown for a short time, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham bank robbery Tuesday morning put Jordan High School on lockdown for a short time, police said.

Officers responded to a BB&T branch at 1107 West N.C. Highway 54 at about 11 a.m. after a man entered the bank and demanded money, police said. The man implied he had a weapon, but no weapon was seen, police said.

The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as white, approximately 40 years old and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He had a thin build, light-colored hair and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a thick black headband, a black coat and yellow tinted glasses.
