Duke student robbed on campus

A gunman robbed a student on Duke University's East Campus early Sunday, university police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A gunman robbed a student on Duke University's East Campus early Sunday, campus police said.

The student told police that two men approached him between Basset and Brown residence halls as he was walking back to campus from West Main Street around 1 a.m. The men indicated they had a weapon, stole the student's cell phone and fled toward Buchanan and Markham streets.

The student wasn't injured, police said.

Campus and Durham police are investigating the robbery. No arrests had been made as of Monday morning.
