Duke sends crime alert to students after armed robbery on central campus

— Duke University sent a crime alert to students early Wednesday after an armed robbery was reported on central campus.

According to police, the robbery happened at about midnight near 1901 Erwin Road, in the northeast corner of campus. No injuries were reported.

The suspects in the robbery displayed a handgun, and they were last seen in an SUV on Erwin Road headed toward Ninth Street.

Both men were about 6 feet tall. One was wearing a dark T-shirt, and the other had dark sweatpants.

    This is the description from the email Duke sent out to employees and students:

    "The two suspects are described as dark complexion males, in their 20's, both about six feet tall. The only clothing description is one had a dark t-shirt, one had dark sweat pants."

    Duke's own report was bold & included the perps were "dark-complexioned".

    With that description of the assailants, they are sure to be caught. A dark tshirt should really alert everyone to them. WRAL is just about worthless.
