Duke offers summer camp for teens considering health care careers

Duke University's Area Health Education Center provides two week long summer camps for students who are considering a career in health care. Students must reside in Durham County or surrounding counties including Vance, Granville, Wake, Orange and Person counties.
Here's the information. Deadlines are coming up quickly.
- Duke Camp Med Residential Camp for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors is June 9 to June 14. The fee is $225. The application deadline is April 19. Students will get the experience of exploring health careers and get a sense of college life while staying in a Duke University dormitory during the week.
- Health Careers Exploration Camp for rising eighth and ninth graders is 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., June 24 to June 28. The fee is $75. The application deadline is May 1. Students will participate in daily activities that introduce them to varied health careers.
