— Durham police are asking for help in investigating a home invasion that took place Sunday on William Vickers Avenue.

The victim told police a black man, wearing a light blue T-shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap, kicked in his door, pointed a gun at him and demanded money and drugs. The suspect took cash and ran from the house.

The witness described the suspect as between 6 feet and 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 175 to 195 pounds with a medium complexion and stubble on his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Rogers at 919-560-4935, ext. 29416 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.

English and WRAL rarely exist in the same place.

Sounds like an actual home invasion, and a news evasion.

"...investigating a home invasion that took place Sunday..." ----- Well, which is it? You can't allege that a home invasion took place? You report that a home invasion occurred, and when a suspect is identified, you allege that the individual is the one that committed the crime. There is nothing in the report that indicates (except for the headline) that there is any reason to doubt that a home invasion took place?
