<b>DUDLEY, N.C.</b> — A Dudley man was charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting an 11-year-old, authorities said.

Norman Joseph Horn, 29, of 100 Verbena Lane, was charged with first-degree rape of a child under age 13. He was being held in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $1 million bond.

Authorities said Horn knows the family of the alleged victim.
