— Halifax County authorities have seized more than $75,000 worth of counterfeit clothing, $10,000 in cash, 3 ounces of marijuana, a handgun, Alprazolam pills and drug paraphernalia, they announced Tuesday.

Authorities arrested Subhi Mohamed “Mike” Alzer, 57, for possessing counterfeit merchandise, more than 100 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, maintaining a business for controlled substances and possessing Alprazolam pills improperly.

The deputies' announcement did not say when or where they arrested Alzer. Authorities said they released him on a $21,000 unsecured bond for his Nov. 5 court date.

They will see him in court. He was charged with counterfiet clothing and sunglasses about ten or fifteen years ago. And got away with a slap on the wrist. Known this man for a long time, he is a nice person, the drug charges really surprise me though.

Counterfeit "designer" clothing perhaps? Or, maybe it's paper clothing...like for paperdolls. Is that illegal now? I am too old!!

Oh, counterfeit clothing. Reading the headline I was wondering what the heck "fake clothing" was ... of course with the economic downturn we might see people wearing barrels again.
